Certified Windows
The MB-104 Passive window system with a thermal break is specially recommended for use in passive buildings. Its sustainability for this type of project has been confirmed by certificated issued by the Passive House Institute (PHI) in Darmstadt. The certified products include windows in the MB-104 Passive SI and MB-104 Passive Aero versions. Their performance parameters exceed even the most stringent standards currently set for window and door construction.
MB-104 Passive windows achieve a thermal transmittance value (Uw) from 0.53 W/m²K (for an openable MB-104 Passive Aero window with sash dimensions of 1700 x 2100 mm). the doors achieve thermal transmittance values (Ud) from 0.61 W/m²K.
Such outstanding thermal insulation values are made possible thanks to advanced profile design solutions combined with the option of using the warmest double- and triple-glazed insulating glass units. The system’s construction depth – 95 mm for the frame and 104 mm for the sash – allow for the installation of modern glazing units. The glazing thickness ranges from 27 to 72 mm for the frame and from 34.5 to 81 mm for the sash.
Versatility
The MB-104 Passive system is designed for a wide range of external architectural applications, including various types of windows, balcony doors, entrance vestibules, shopfronts, and spatial structures. In addition to excellent thermal insulation, it also offers high acoustic performance, good water-tightness (up to class AE 1800, PN-EN 12208:2001), air permeability (class 4, PN-EN 12207:2001), and resistance to wind load (class C5/B5, PN-EN 12210:2001).
The profiles are robust, ensuring comfort and durability for many years. Euro-type hardware fitting slots contribute to the system’s versatility, allowing the installation of most fittings available for both aluminium and uPVC windows. Both traditional and concealed hinges can be used, providing additional flexibility in design and functionality.
