Reducing energy consumption is one of the most important challenges facing modern construction. The highest savings are achieved by passive buildings, characterized by extremely low energy requirement. As regards the achievement of thermal comfort without additional heating sources, there are external baffles, including windows and doors. Therefore passive window and door joinery require advanced technology, which guarantees the MB-104 Passive system.
MB-104 Passive thermal window system is recommended for passive buildings. Its applicability in such projects has been confirmed by the PHI Darmstadt Institute of Passive Houses. Certified products are MB-104 Passive SI and MB-104 Passive Aero windows. Their parameters exceed the most stringent norms currently put on windows and doors.
Passive MB-104 windows have a thermal transmittance Uw of 0.53 W / m2K (Passive Aero window with sash dimensions 1700x2100mm ). The doors achieve a UD of 0.62 W / m2K.
For such excellent thermal insulation values, advanced profiles are possible with the use of the warmest twin-chamber and three-chamber glass. High capacity for mounting modern glass packages gives a depth of 95 mm and a depth of 104 mm. The glazing thickness for the frame is 27-72 mm and for the sash is 34.5-81 mm.
The MB-104 Passive system is used for the architectural elements of external buildings, such as various types of windows, balcony doors, vestibules, sites and spatial constructions. In addition to excellent thermal insulation, it also features high acoustic insulation, good water tightness (class AE 1800, EN 12208: 2001), air permeability (class 4 PN-EN 12207: 2001) and wind load resistance (class C5 / B5, PN-EN 12210: 2001). The profiles are durable, guaranteeing comfort of use for many years. "Euro" hardware grooves decide on the versatility of the system, allowing for the installation of most of the hardware available for aluminium and plastic windows. It is possible to use both traditional and hidden hinges.
